Part of our mission as a community hospital is not only delivering quality healthcare when it is needed the most, but also interacting with our community representatives to anticipate what will be needed of us in the future. One of the ways we stay abreast of the healthcare needs in our community is through a well-established forum known as our Community Advisory Council.
Membership of the Community Advisory Council is comprised of representatives from various area agencies and organizations. The appointed members meet quarterly and have the opportunity to connect with hospital administration and other key leaders. News updates are given regarding programs, services and upcoming projects—anything that would impact the communities we serve. There is discussion on a pre-selected topic of interest, and members provide feedback on issues they would like to learn more about.
Through the partnerships formed in our Community Advisory Council we:
- Identify health education opportunities
- Create new health programs and services
- Build relationships with key opinion leaders
- Educate on MidState happenings
- Gain a global understanding of healthcare in our community
