When unexpected illness or injury occurs, MidState’s Emergency Department is here to help. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, our emergency physicians and team of medical professionals stand ready to provide the best medical care available, promptly and efficiently.

Facilities:
MidState’s 9,600-square-foot Emergency Department is fully equipped to treat people of any age, with any condition.

Our facilities include:

  • 19 major treatment and trauma rooms
  • A six-bed cardiac-monitored 23-hour observation unit
  • Four minor-emergency-care rooms
  • Three isolation rooms for treating infectious diseases
  • Two gynecology rooms
  • An eye-ear-nose-and-throat room
  • A six-bed, monitored, behavioral health unit
    We also offer TDD devices for the hearing-impaired, interpreter services, and a latex-safe environment.

When you are suffering from a minor illness or injury, you may also visit MidState Medical Center’s urgent care facility, MediQuick. MediQuick is part of Emergency Services at the hospital and is available to assist patients who may not require the level of care that an Emergency Department provides.
MediQuick is located at 61 Pomeroy Avenue in Meriden and is open from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily, expect for major holidays. For questions, call MediQuick at 203 694 5350.
