Wendy Holmes
Wendy has worked in the oncology field for 30 years and joined Medical Oncology and Hematology in June 2008. She is board certified as an advanced oncology nurse practitioner (AOCNP), one of 550 in the United States. She has been active in the Oncology Nursing Society at both the local and national level and has published several articles related to the care of cancer patients. She has been an Associate Professor at the Yale School of Nursing and has also taught at the University of Connecticut. Wendy was involved in the development of the first pediatric bone marrow transplant program in the state of Connecticut. In 1992, she was honored with the American Cancer Society Lane Adams Excellence in Oncology award. She began her career in nursing as an RN with a Bachelor’s degree from Russell Sage College. She went on to receive her Master's Degree in Community Health from Boston University, her Nurse Practitioner degree from Stonybrook University, and her PhD in Nursing from the University of Connecticut.

Dawn Tiedemann
Dawn has been employed at Medical Oncology and Hematology for almost 3 years, following a 30-year career at the VA Medical Center in West Haven where she worked as a staff nurse, head nurse, supervisor, and finally advanced practice nurse. While at the VA, she helped write the first edition of Cancer Chemotherapy Drug Manual, a widely used reference on chemotherapy. She has also mentored students in clinical work as an assistant clinical professor for the Yale School of Nursing and Quinnipiac University. She has been active in the Oncology Nursing Society, and is certified as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing. She was the 2005 recipient of the American Cancer Society Lane Adams Quality of Life Award. Dawn obtained her Bachelor's Degree in nursing from UConn and Master's in oncology nursing from Yale.
