Providers at MidState Medical Group Walk-In Center offer treatment for a wide range of conditions and illnesses: colds and sore throats, sinus pain and headaches, earaches and fevers, cuts and bruises, muscular aches and pains, sprains and minor fractures, rashes and minor burns, and other conditions. In addition to meeting minor urgent care needs, Walk-In Center physicians can provide continuing care of chronic diseases.
Patients can also get their complete annual physicals, pre-operative physicals, and school/camp/sports physicals. Naturally, if you have a major medical emergency, it is recommended that you seek treatment at the MidState Medical Center Emergency Department.
About our Providers:

Dr. Pratt has been an active physician at the MidState Medical Group Walk-In Center since 2001. Prior to seeing patients at the Walk-In Center, he was a member of MidState Medical Center’s surgical staff and also served as Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery at Meriden-Wallingford Hospital throughout the 1980s. Dr. Pratt is affiliated with the American Medical Society, Connecticut State Medical Society, New Haven County Medical Association, and Connecticut Society of American Board of Surgeons and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed postgraduate training at Taylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals, LSU Surgical Service Charity Hospital, and Lahey Clinic (now Lahey-Hitchcock Clinic).

Christina Plantier, P.A., provides primary care and family practice at the Primary Care Specialists of Southington, including physical exams, initial evaluation and treatment of minor injuries, and vaccinations. She has eight years of experience working in the MidState Medical Center Emergency Department, and consequently, has special expertise in acute care needs. Christina completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Geneva College and received a Certificate of Physician Assistant from Western University of Health Sciences.

Jill Caiola, APRN, MSN, joined the MidState Medical Group Walk-In Center in July 2008 as a nurse practitioner. She has over five years of experience in the urgent care setting. Prior to her position at the Walk-In Center, Jill worked primarily in the Emergency Department, but also served as a staff nurse on the medical/surgical floors of both Griffin Hospital in Derby and St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. A graduate of Mount Saint Mary College with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Jill went on to earn her Master’s degree in Nursing from Quinnipiac University in 2008. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and has sat on various hospital committees, including the Infectious Disease Committee and Diabetic Committee.
Michelle LaChance, PA-C is a certified physician assistant with the MidState Medical Group Walk-In Center in Wallingford, where she has several years of experience providing hands-on clinical care to patients of all ages. She also serves as a physician assistant for walk-in clinics in Naugatuck and Wolcott. Michelle received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Central Connecticut State University and her Master’s in Health Sciences from Quinnipiac University. In addition to her certification as a physician assistant, she is certified by the American Heart Association as an Advanced Care Life Support. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants.
Marissa Van Hennik, PA-C is a certified physician assistant with the MidState Medical Group Walk-In Center in Wallingford, where she provides clinical care to patients of all ages. Michelle also serves as a physician assistant for MidState’s MediQuick urgent care facility and MidState Radiology Associates. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Clark University and a degree in Physician Assistant Studies from MCP Hahnemann University.
