About MidState

Celebrating 10 years in a BIG way

We are pleased to announce that we have received approval from the State to move forward with our proposed expansion project. This means we can proceed with plans for our $45 million, 100,000 square foot expansion. The addition will include 54 treatment beds in the new enlarged Emergency Department, construction of a four-story pavilion for new inpatient beds, shelled space for future growth, and other facility upgrades, such as increased parking and covered patient drop-off area.

“We are very pleased with the State’s approval, which enables us to continue to grow as we provide excellent healthcare services to our communities,” said Lucille Janatka, President & CEO.

The approval comes at a very significant time, as MidState Medical Center is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. While the birth of the MidState name and facility came in 1998, under different names, the hospital has a rich history of service dating back to the 1800’s.

As we look to the future, we promise to carry on our tradition of delivering superior medical care. And that promise will manifest itself in our expansion, which is our largest construction project to date. We realize that building will bring changes to parking and entrances, so we will keep you updated as we move forward. Completion of the first phase of the project, the new emergency department, is expected in February 2010.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to care for the communities we serve for the past 10 years. With construction set to begin soon, we feel privileged to be able to offer you and your family the same high standards of care in the years to come.
