Emergency Department

The MidState Medical Center's state-of-the-art emergency center offers:

• 19 major treatment and trauma rooms
• 6-bed cardiac-monitored 23-hour observation unit
• 4 minor-emergency-care rooms
• 3 isolation rooms for treating infectious diseases
• 2 gynecology rooms
• 6-bed, monitored, behavioral health unit
• Eye-ear-nose-and-throat room
• We offer TDD devices for the hearing-impaired, interpreter services, and a latex-safe environment.

If you have a minor illness or injury that doesn't require a trip to the Emergency Department, the MediQuick Urgent Care Center, at 61 Pomeroy Avenue in Meriden, can provide fast, expert care. MediQuick is open from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
